Attorney Cori-Lynn Webber is
the main file handler on
these matters for The Firm.
She is an acknowledged
Specialist in the Field,
having practiced in it since
1988, and became Board
Certified, after being
accepted as a candidate for
taking (and passing) a
specialization examination
in 2002. The certification
is granted by the
Connecticut Bar Association.
There are only a few areas
of Law in Connecticut where
Attorney’s can claim
certification or
specialization.
Attorney Webber advises
her clients on the benefits
they are or may be entitled
to. She frequently
communicates with physicians
and medical providers
regarding the various issues
that arise in a workers’
compensation case, including
notice, widows issues,
dependency, how to claim
benefits for serious medical
conditions such as
paraplegia, paralysis, pain
management, and surgical
conditions of all types. She
deals with multiple injuries
and pre-existing condition
issues on a frequent basis.
Attorney Webber will review
the weekly wage and
compensation rate, to ensure
that the full benefit due is
paid regularly. She
communicates with clients as
needed to keep them informed
and up to speed on the
progress in their case.
The firm keeps an active
medical database for ease of
administering these matters
that rely so heavily on
medical reports. The
firm’s staff is trained on
the various issues that are
routinely raised in
workers’ compensation
matters and will assist
clients in obtaining what
they need in order to move
the claims through the
system as efficiently and
quickly as possible.
Workers’ compensation
matters are adjudicated in
an administrative forum,
which moves from an informal
hearing to the pre-formal or
pretrial level and then to
the formal or trial level.
Attorney Webber has been
handling multiple matters in
this forum for the full
length of her time as a
licensed Attorney. An
attorney attends all
hearings on behalf of and
with our clients to ensure
that their interests are
protected to the full extent
of the law. Attorney Webber
will also handle appeals of
the trial commissioner’s
decision if an appeal is
needed.
Since opening the firm in
1998, Attorney Webber has
built up a practice
assisting other Attorney’s
with or taking over other
Attorney’s files for the
pre-formal and formal
hearing process. She has
acted as an expert,
rendering reports as to
liability and value of
workers’ compensation
matters in anticipation of
litigation.

Social
Security Disability
Attorney
Cori-Lynn Webber has
recently expanded her
practice to include issues
that face those who apply
for Social Security
Disability. In her day to
day workers’ compensation
practice, she deals with
many of the same issues and
frequently has clients with
concurrent issues of
disability through Social
Security and Workers’
Compensation. A natural
extension of communication
with doctors and clients
about medical conditions and
one’s ability to work,
lead her to begin handling
these matters.
The office
will evaluate matters before
an application is made, or
when an applicant has been
denied benefits by the
administrator.
